American Institute of Cameroon is a values-based community institution providing professional and liberal arts undergraduate and graduate education to prepare students for service and contribution to the global community.


The mission of the American Institute of Cameroon is to provide high quality, affordable, and practical education nationally and internationally by equipping students with the insights and values as well as the skills and flexibility they need to light their way through the Twenty-First Century.

AIC offers a range of demanding programs in a student-centered educational environment dedicated to excellence in teaching, and academic/student support services necessary to help students to reach their full potential, including students from academically and financially disadvantaged backgrounds, students with special needs, and adults returning or entering higher education.

Admission and Applications

Admission is open to students who meet the following criteria: Possess a High School Diploma GCE Advanced Level in 2 Subjects Minimum Possess a Diploma or Transfer courses from an accredited institution The Teachers’ Grade One  certificate (if applying for Teacher-education)

Application Procedure

In three simple steps, you can start the journey towards a lifetime career at AIC. Complete an Online Application Form or a Paper Application Submit Official transcripts Pay Application Fee Fill Application For a timely processing of your application, we recommend that you use the Online Application Form. Alternatively, you can submit a Paper Application Form. Prospective students can download the Application Form from the website or obtain original Application Forms from the the main campus or other approved locations. Complete Application Files should be submitted at the main campus in a Sealed A4 Envelop addressed to: American Institute of Cameroon Attn: Director of Admissions and Students Affairs Church Street, Bamunka-NdopNgoketunjia Division North West Region, Cameroon Submit Official Transcript Official Transcripts include:

  • Lower & Upper Sixth Transcripts
  • O/L and A/L or Baccalaureate.
  • Transcripts from previous schools (for transfer students)
  • Teachers’ Grade One  Certificate (for students in education programs)

Official documents must be:

  • Mailed or delivered by issuing institution in a sealed envelope bearing the stamp of the issuing institution
  • Mailed or delivered by the student in a sealed envelope with an institutional seal
  • Electronically delivered (email attachments or uploaded scanned files) will be accepted. But, students MUST provide original copies before the beginning of classes.

Program specific requirements may also apply depending on your area of interest and amount of prior learning experience transferred. Pay Application Fees AIC application fees is 10.000frs CFA and is non-refundable. This Fee must be paid before your application is processed. Students ca pay via one of the following methods:

  • At the Business Office at the Main Campus
  • Directly to the Institute’s bank account (or wire transfer) or
  • Online with your visa or master card.

Application Checklist Applicants should ensure that their application package is complete and accurate. It should consist of:

  • Completed application
  • Official Lower and Upper Sixth Transcripts
  • Official Transcript/Certificate GCE O/L & A/L or a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
  • 10.000frs CFA Non-Refundable Application Fees

**Applications for Financial Aid or need based scholarship should be filled only after receiving an admissions letter. Performance scholarships are competitive and are based on previous and current academic standing. Download Application Forms Application Form
